BOWLING – The Deaf Bowling League first edition kicked off at Alba Club Hall amid tough competition between the participating teams.
Bahrain Deaf Sports Federation chairman Basem Mirza Almuathen announced the launch of the championship. Also present were vice chairman Jassim Hassan Mubarak and secretary general Khalid Al Hassan.
The first round witnessed a strong start by the Capital Governorate team who cruised past Muharraq 6-2. In the second match, the Southern Governorate team beat the Northern Governorate 6-2 while the third match ended in a 4-4 draw between Al lttihad and Deaf B. Best scorers were Nasser Sabt and Hussain Al Abid.
The second round takes place tomorrow at the same venue.
