Tennis – The Bahrain Tennis Club has opened the registration of players wishing to participate in the 11th Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo Juniors Open Tennis Championship, to be held at the Bahrain Tennis Club (BTC) in Juffair from January 22 to February 3.
The tournament, organised by the BTC, is considered one of the most important and largest junior tournaments in Bahrain. The event will witness the participation of players in Bahrain as well as from the Eastern Province in Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, BTC president Khamis Al Muqla expressed his happiness that Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo Company has continued to sponsor the tournament since its launch in 2013. He thanked Ebrahim K Kanoo vice chairman Fuad Ebrahim Kanoo for the support, noting that the company’s sponsorship has played a major role in the continuation and success of the tournament year after year.
Players will compete in 11 categories in the tournament. The categories are 12 and under boys’ singles, 14 and under boys’ singles, 16 and under boys’ singles, 18 and under boys’ singles, 12 and under girls’ singles, 14 and under girls’ singles, 18 and under girls’ singles, 14 and under boys’ doubles, 18 and under boys’ doubles, 6 and 8 under unisex and 9 and10 under unisex.
