SAUD Farooq and Amal Tabani, representing a UAE team, won the Intra GCC Padel Tennis Tournament after beating Isfahan Iqbal and Abdul Rafay, also of the UAE, in a hard-fought final at Let’s Padel at the Ritz Carlton Bahrain last night.
Meanwhile, the UAE’s Kashif Mehmood and Adeel Akbar defeated Saudi Arabia’s Ahmed Jalal and Nazar Khan in the third-place play-off.
Pakistani squash legend Jahangir Khan was the chief guest at the tournament – organised by the Bahrain Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) – which featured 29 teams from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain.
