Bahrain will face the Yemen national team in Abha, Saudi Arabia, today in their Group H Round 2 qualification match for World Cup 2026 and Asian Cup 2027.
Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS), first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa visited the national football team during their last training session ahead of the match.
Shaikh Khalid met the players and conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and SCYS chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
He encouraged the team to do their best, enhance the honourable stance of Bahraini sports and leave a positive imprint. He also noted the importance of doubling efforts to achieve best results, wishing the team success in the match.
Present on the occasion were Cabinet Affairs Ministry Under Secretary and BOC vice president Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Bahrain Football Association (BFA) president Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and BFA vice president Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa.
