CapitLand Investment’s wholly owned lodging business unit, The Ascott Limited (Ascott), has won six awards including the coveted ‘Middle East’s Leading Serviced Apartment Brand 2023’ at the prestigious World Travel Awards 2023, in Dubai.
Recognised by industry leaders, tourism professionals, as well as business and leisure travellers globally, Singapore-based Ascott has delivered on the brand’s commitment to set the gold standard in serviced apartments and lodging experiences, said a statement.
Five Ascott properties bagged honours in the regional and country categories. Ascott Rafal Olaya Riyadh was named ‘Saudi Arabia’s Leading Serviced Apartments 2023’, its fourth consecutive win in the category.
Ascott’s UAE properties made a mark at the awards with Ascott Park Place Dubai being recognised as the ‘United Arab Emirates’ Leading Serviced Apartments 2023’, while Citadines Culture Village Dubai as ‘Dubai’s Leading Serviced Apartments 2023’.
Ascott’s Somerset Maslak Istanbul, a home-away-from-home for both business and leisure guests, registered its fifth consecutive win as ‘Turkiye’s Leading Serviced Apartments 2023’, in recognition of its outstanding guest experiences.
In Africa, Somerset Westview Nairobi was named ‘Africa’s Leading Serviced Apartments 2023’.
Finally, Somerset City Centre Atyrau was conferred the ‘Kazakhastan’s Leading Serviced Apartments 2023’ award, marking its inaugural nomination in the prestigious awards ceremony. This accolade demonstrates the property’s burgeoning reputation as a prime destination for business and leisure travellers in the city of Atyrau, said a statement.
