The Wiltshire Police in the UK appear to have been openly challenged by a wanted suspect who claims they have been unable to find him.
Luke McInerney is wanted in connection with an assault case, and the police have been on the lookout for him.
Although he is from Swindon, law enforcement officials have warned that he may have left the jurisdiction. After Swindon Police posted a plea for information on Luke’s location on their Facebook page, an individual claiming to be Luke posted comments, mocking the police.
“If you offer a reward, I’ll tell you where I am,” he said. “Swindon Police, how much will you offer to hand me in? Let’s come to some sort of arrangement; this holiday is getting expensive,” he added in another comment.
Along with his comments, he also posted a 20-second video of himself. “Here’s where I am,” he said.
“Look, it even says my name on my hat. Catch me if you can, yeah? A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “If you see him, please do not approach him but call us immediately on 999, quoting log 54230103071.
