Bahrain under-23 football team held their Vietnamese counterparts 1-1 in Bangkok yesterday.
Bahrain’s goal was scored by Hassan Abdulnabi.
Yesterday’s match was the final game of the team’s training camp in Bangkok, ahead of the 2024 AFC U23 Asian Cup qualifiers, which begin in early September.
A 28-member Bahrain squad, including three goalkeepers, has been in Bangkok for the training camp since late July under the guidance of coach Dario Basic.
The team are scheduled to return to Bahrain today, giving the players a chance to resume their training in familiar conditions with enough time to fine-tune their preparations for the upcoming qualifying games.
Bahrain are scheduled to play three matches in the AFC U23 Asian Cup qualifiers, all at home in the kingdom, against Japan, Palestine and Pakistan from September 6 to 12.
