A car passenger in the UK had to jump into a canal to save his life after his car crashed and dangled over a bridge.
A photo of the red Vauxhall Corsa dangling over the bridge has been making rounds on social media.
As per reports, the hatchback struck a wall at around 2 AM on Saturday and was left hanging over the edge with only two of the four wheels touching the ground.
The wall in Langley Road in South Staffordshire had been destroyed by the car; however, airbags were deployed to safeguard the driver before halting on the edge.
Even though the driver of the vehicle was able to climb out onto the bridge, the front-seat passenger had to jump into the water below in order to escape the wreckage.
"Both the occupants of the car were fine, but the passenger opened the door and leapt into the canal. That's what the police officer on the scene that I spoke to said. When I stepped out of the back of the boat, I saw it and then walked closer to have a look," said the Narrowboat owner, Stephanie Hardman.
