THE National Day Dressage Show was held at the Bahrain International Endurance Village, under the patronage of Al Fursan Team Captain Shaikha Noora bint Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the participation of jockeys from various stables.
Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) secretary-general Ghalib Al Alawi, BREEF assistant secretary-general and Royal Team director Dr Khalid Ahmed Hassan and Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s Media Office and Information Centre director Tawfiq Al Salihi presented the trophies to the winners.
Dr Hassan thanked Shaikha Noora for her constant support for the sport, noting that the Dressage Show embodies her interest in equestrian sports.
In the Intro Junior competition, first place went to Alban Lekait riding Solo, with a total score of 66.52 points, Milly Hegarty came second on Kevin with 63.47pts and third place was bagged by Munira Al Abbasi on Or Del Sol with 63.26pts.
Carlejian won the Senior Intro category on Gyro with 69.35pts, second place went to Muhammad Al Sakran on Mandour with 68.89pts and third place to Lydia riding Jayohar with 66.30pts.
In the Brillium competition for youngsters, Camille won riding Solo with 66.03pts, followed by Hegarty with 57.75pts and Rima Al Jahrami with 55.51pts in second and third places, respectively.
Martin Smith claimed the Beryllium competition for adults riding Judio with 67.41pts, the second place going to Abbas Fadel on Abys with 65.68pts, and third place to Keshia Smith on Gyro with 65pts.
In the beginners competition, Megan Black on Jarinero was first with 71.25pts, followed by Oliver Walter on Zimba with 68.21pts and Yalda Topas (67.85pts), in second and third places, respectively.
Walter clinched victory in the final Elementary 2 category riding Zimba, with 68.03pts, while Black, on Jarinero, took second place with 67.57pts, followed by Topas on Maestro with 64.39pts.
