The Bahraini-Emirati satellite Light 1 has succeeded in detecting nearly 50 terrestrial gamma ray events during the first four hours of its trial run.
The satellite downloads 50-70m megabytes of data to the earth station daily, which is equivalent to about 200,000 sheets of Earth gamma ray data .
