Bahrain is set to host the Ministry of Interior Tennis Challenger Championship, to be held from November 20 to 28 at the Public Security Officers Club courts in Gudaibiya.
It is organised by the Public Security Sports Association in cooperation with the Public Security Officers Club.
Registration is already open on the tournament’s website for players wishing to participate in the Ministry of Interior Challenger Tennis Championships. Registration will close three weeks before the tournament scheduled to start on November 20.
Meanwhile, Public Security Sports Association president and the championship’s organising committee chairman Colonel Khalid Al Khayyat has extended his gratitude to Interior Minister Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa for his continued support to the Public Security Sports Federation in organising one of the ATP Challenger Championship rounds in Bahrain this year.
Al Khayyat affirmed that the support and attention given by the minister to the federation has contributed in the success of various tennis tournaments, which reflects the distinguished level of the Interior Ministry in hosting and organising local and international sports events.
He pointed out that the Public Security Sports Association has won the confidence of the ATP Challenger Championship authorities, who lauded the condition of the stadiums during their visit to closely review the preparations to host one of the tournament rounds in the kingdom.
The federation’s chief explained that the organising committee of the championship is working in full swing to finalise all the necessary arrangements to host the tournament in the kingdom.
He added that the committee has prepared an integrated programme for the tournament in order to make the international sporting event an all-round success.
