Awali Bowling Club, in coordination with Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco), will hold the Batelco Bowling Open Championship at Bapco Club in Awali starting tomorrow.
The lanes will be opened for the bowlers’ first round from 6pm to midnight.
The top 16 qualifiers and winners in other categories will receive prizes totalling BD2,000. The top 16 players from the preliminary, which takes place from tomorrow until April 21, will qualify for the final round where they play nine games.
The final round, on April 22 starting 4pm, will determine the final positions without referring to stepladder knockout. The prize presentation will follow at around 8pm.
Prizes will be allocated as follows: 1st – BD600, 2nd – 300, 3rd – 150, 4th – 125, 5th – 100, 6th to 9th – BD75, 10th to 13th – BD50 and 14th to 16th – BD25.
Registration fee is BD5. Newcomers on April 20 and 21 will be charged BD10.
