TWENTY-NINE complaints related to torture allegations and ill-treatment have been lodged against Bahrain’s police force in the last four months, it has been revealed.
The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) – set up in 2012 to probe allegations of police misconduct – investigated the claims and questioned witnesses as well as suspects .
