Doha – A Sudanese bodybuilding champion was reportedly killed in Doha, Qatar.
Mohammed Abdullatif was shot dead near Al-Sadd Club headquarters in the Qatari capital, according to Saudi newspaper Okaz.
The Qatari security authorities leaked the news on social media websites, claiming that he was killed in a road accident.
However, his relatives allege that Mohammed was shot dead in Doha after watching the match between England and Sweden in the World Cup quarter-finals in Russia.
Doha has engaged over the past years in a massive policy of naturalising Sudanese sportsmen who won many championships under the Qatari flag.
