Bahrain: Bahrain’s Health Minister conducted a surprise inspection at Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC), following allegations of staff shortages at the country’s main hospital, two new sickle cell fatalities and reports of a patient attacking a doctor.
Faeqa Al Saleh visited the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department and the Genetic Blood Disease Centre, which specialises in conditions such as sickle cell disease, on Tuesday .
