MANAMA: Pension schemes in the GCC and across Mena, generous though they may be, are covering less than 40 per cent of the working population, which according to Takaud’s chief government business and communications officer Ebrahim K Ebrahim is one of the major challenges highlighted in the 2017 MENA Pensions Conference.
Mr Ebrahim told the GDN that as the GCC has a large young population, the generosity is compromising the sustainability of pensions for the young .
