Shaikha Moza bint Nasser, chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), accompanied by QF Vice Chairperson and CEO Shaikha Hind bint Hamad Al-Thani, visited Qatar's information and communication technology exhibition and conference (QITCOM 2017), which is organized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications under the theme "Qatar towards a Smart Future."
She toured QITCOM 2017's local and international smart technology innovators and industry leaders including representatives from QF's Hamad bin Khalifa University's (HBKU) College of Science and Engineering, and visited the pavilions of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Vodafone, Qatar Rail and Qatar Assistive Technology Center (Mada).
Reflecting QF's support and mentorship of innovation in Qatar, an array of forward facing QF centers and initiatives are participating in this year's event.
Among them is the Qatar National Library (QNL) in support of QITCOM's Digital Youth Festival, having a particular focus on immersing Qatar's youth with everything that is modern technology.
