Manama: Bahrain is planning to scrap the old sponsorship system, known as “Kafala”, which dates back to 1960s.
A new system will come in force next April as part of the labour market reform project, which was launched in 2004, Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) chief executive Ausamah Al Absi said .
