THE STYLISH 2025 INFINITI QX50, a luxury crossover that embodies the artistry and craftsmanship of Japan, has been unveiled in Bahrain by the marque’s sole distributor, Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons (YKA).
The vehicle’s design is deeply rooted in Japanese aesthetics, with an origami-inspired grille, fluid calligraphy curves, and elegant kimono-line silhouettes.
The sculpted exterior, driver-focused interior, and innovative powertrain come together to provide ‘a truly thoughtful driving experience’, its designers say.
The QX50 celebrates Japanese luxury in five distinct ways.
Firstly, it embodies the concept of ‘Kabuku in Motion’, or the art of standing out through unexpected design.
The car’s striking silhouette and double-arch grille, inspired by origami, immediately command attention. Sharp lines flow across the body, while the crescent-shaped rear roof pillar adds a touch of elegance.
For an even bolder look, the QX50 SPORT features gloss black accents on the grille, roof rails, window trim, and badging, complemented by dark-painted 20-inch wheels with a machined finish.
Secondly, the interior reflects the concepts of Ma and Omotenashi, creating a space of ‘Serenity by Design’. Ma represents purposeful, balanced space, and the QX50’s cabin is meticulously designed for both driver and passengers.
Sliding rear seats offer versatile configurations and can expand the cargo space to 65.1 cubic feet when folded flat.
The spirit of Omotenashi, which means anticipating needs, is evident in features like a panoramic moon-roof, active noise control, and available climate-controlled seats. Upholstery choices vary by grade: LUXE 2WD and LUXE STYLE AWD feature dark aluminium trim with Graphite finishes, while the SPORT grade boasts Monaco Red semi-aniline leather with black aluminium accents and ambient lighting.
Thirdly, the vehicle’s lines are inspired by Shodo, the art of Japanese ink painting, bringing a sense of ‘Calligraphy of Motion’ to every curve.
Each line is precise and expressive, creating a dynamic silhouette that looks like it’s in motion even when standing still. This sculptural design is enhanced by the crescent-shaped rear roof pillars and a rounded roofline, which seamlessly blend elegance with aerodynamic efficiency.
Fourthly, the QX50 showcases ‘Sustainable Sophistication’ through mindful material choices and maximum comfort. The luxury is in the details, with soft-touch surfaces that feature refined textures and tonal contrasts depending on the trim.
The LUXE 2WD and LUXE STYLE grades include dark aluminum trim and Graphite upholstery, while the SPORT grade offers black aluminium accents with premium leather, balancing sustainability and style in every stitch.
Finally, the QX50 offers ‘Quiet Power’ through its innovative engineering. It is equipped with a 2.0-litre Variable Compression Turbocharged engine, a first in mass production.
This engine intelligently adapts between high performance and efficiency, producing 268 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. LUXE STYLE and SPORT grades come with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive for superior control in various road conditions.
The vehicle also delivers impressive fuel economy, with 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. An XTRONIC CVT with paddle shifters and Downshift Rev Matching ensures a smooth yet highly responsive driving experience.
For those who appreciate thoughtful craftsmanship, intentional design, and purposeful performance, the 2025 INFINITI QX50 is available at the INFINITI Showroom in Sitra. It is a vehicle that offers a journey shaped by Japanese tradition and refined for modern life.
