A twice-divorced man in Fujairah filed a lawsuit seeking to have his three sons contribute to a monthly allowance for his two ex-wives.
The man claimed to be under severe financial strain due to spousal support and child support for his minor children, as well as housing rent for his ex-wives.
He argued that his sons are in a strong position to help him, as they were all employed and unmarried, and should contribute to an AED 15,000 (BD 1,500) allowance.
However, the court found that his AED 40,000 (BD 4,000) salary contradicted his statements and rejected his lawsuit.
