A shocking video that went viral on social media has ignited widespread outrage in both Libya and Egypt, after it showed a farm owner unleashing his pet lion on a worker.
According to reports, the Libyan was allegedly ‘pulling a prank’ on his Egyptian farmhand by setting the lion loose on him.
The video shows the animal attempting to wrestle and bite the farmhand as he struggles to free himself from its grip.
The worker ultimately escaped unharmed.
However, human rights advocates and labour groups have expressed shock over the incident and have called on the Libyan authorities to take action against the man.
