A mother in Kuwait was fined KD 4,000 (BD 4,933) for leaving her children behind and travelling to get plastic surgery.
The mother abandoned her children for months in an apartment prepared by their father. They were left in neglect until a complaint was filed with authorities.
The children's grandmother testified that the mother had intentionally neglected them, with their father corroborating the claim.
