An appeals court has ruled to reinstate the citizenship of a former fugitive, eight years after his Bahraini nationality was revoked as a penalty in a national security case.
Judges overturned the verdict after a law that set ‘citizenship deprivation’ as a punishment for disturbing the nation’s law and order was annulled in 2019 by a decree of His Majesty King Hamad .
