CYCLING – THE Bahrain Victorious Development Team had two riders place in the top 20 yesterday in the final classification of the 12th GP Slovenian Istria road race in Slovenia.
The single-day event is part of the 2025 calendar of the UCI European Tour.
Zak Erzen of Slovenia and Thomas Capra of Italy ranked 16th and 17th, respectively, from nearly 170 riders representing various international squads.
They both finished one minute and 52 seconds behind race winner Michiel Coppens of BEAT Cycling Club, who completed the 156.5-kilometre event in a total time of three hours and 40 minutes.
Amongst the other Bahrain Victorious Development Team members, Jakob Omrzel of Slovenia ranked 63rd overall, while Kasper Borremans from Finland was 77th.
Their teammates Marco Andreaus of Italy and Seth Dunwoody of Ireland did not finish the race.
