CYCLING – THE Hawa’a ‘From Air to Water’ project by Estedara was launched as part of the vision of His Majesty King Hamad’s humanitarian work and youth affairs representative and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The initiative aims to enhance infrastructure and support cyclists, and is a pioneering step towards sustainable development.
It provides cyclists on the Nasser bin Hamad Cycling Track with drinking water using advanced technology that extracts and purifies water from the air.
The project represents a significant advancement in environmental sustainability, offering an innovative solution to generate potable water while supporting Bahrain’s growing cycling community.
The project reinforces Bahrain’s commitment to innovative and eco-friendly solutions by investing in technologies that improve the quality of life.
It operates using solar panels to generate the energy required for a seven-stage purification process, ensuring clean, mineral-enriched drinking water. Additionally, it features a shaded rest area for cyclists, providing a sustainable source of cold water.
This strategic initiative reflects Bahrain’s integrated national vision, combining innovation and environmental preservation, safeguarding water resources, and enhancing the quality of life for future generations.
