Madinah: The Prophet's Mosque received 5,653,395 worshippers last week, with the Saudi General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque offering extensive services to attend to their needs.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the authority stated that 587,360 visitors greeted the Prophet, peace be upon him, and his two companions. Additionally, 390,923 visitors performed prayers at Al Rawdah Al Sharifa in accordance with the established procedures for crowd management and scheduled visits.
The authority reported that 959 individuals from various nationalities benefited from multilingual communication services. Field services included sterilisation and cleaning efforts, with 24,053 litres of disinfectant used.
The authority further indicated that 350 tons of Zamzam water were consumed throughout the mosque during the week, while 48 water samples were collected by the laboratory teams for testing and analysis. Additionally, 167,382 Iftar meals were distributed at designated locations for breaking the fast at the mosque.
