MOTORSPORT – Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, hosts on Saturday two of its most adrenaline-pumping fan experiences – back to back.
First up will be Track Experiences, offering a unique adventure in three ultra-quick cars. The floodlights will then shine brightly on Open Track Night, with race fans bringing their very own cars and motorbikes out for a spin along the world-famous Formula 1 facility.
Track Experiences will be held from 8am to 3pm and then Open Track Night will follow from 4pm to 11pm – making for a full day’s programme of unrivalled excitement.
Those interested in being a part of any or both of these activities, which are amongst the most sought-after at BIC, can book their slot online at bahraingp.com or by calling the BIC Hotline on +973-17450000.
In Track Experiences, participants will have the chance to get into the hot seat of a Renault Clio Cup sports car, or in SR1 or SR3 Radical cars.
Fans will get an awesome introduction into the high-octane world of motorsports in the Clio Cup Driver Experience, buckled up in a Renault Clio Cup – boasting a 1.6-litre, Turbocharged engine – and taking it out onto the track behind a professional instructor in a lead-follow manner.
The Radical SR1 Driving Experience is ideal for amateurs and racers alike with its 185bhp engine. In the Radical SR3 Passenger Experience, fans will be taken from zero to 100kph in about 3.4 seconds, making for an amazing number of laps around BIC.
The cost to get behind the wheel for the Clio Cup Driver Experience is BD121. For the Radical SR1 Driver Experience, the cost is BD132, while the Radical SR3 Passenger Experience is BD38.500.
Meanwhile, Open Track Night offers speed lovers a thrill like no other, taking their private vehicles and powering them along BIC’s 5.412-kilometre Grand Prix Circuit – the same that will be raced on in the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix 2025 from 11 to 13 April.
Driver etiquette is of ultimate importance in every Open Track activity, and there is no close or aggressive overtaking permitted. Overtaking is by invitation between corners and driving is monitored, with poor or dangerous driving being dealt with swiftly.
Those interested in taking part can book their slot in advance at a reduced rate. The discounted cost for the full night is BD99, while the half night is BD71.500, and a single session is BD33.
If booking on the day itself, the cost is BD115.500 for the full night, BD82.500 for half the night, and BD44 for a single session.
Instructor sessions are also available, while additional drivers and passengers can participate, all for an additional fee.
