Padel Plus Academy has announced the appointment of Kamal Khonji, affectionately known as "Uncle K," as Director of Academy. Kamal brings an unparalleled wealth of experience and passion to the academy, solidifying its position as a premier destination for padel training in Bahrain and beyond.
A seasoned expert in racket sports, Kamal's journey includes captaining Bahrain's national tennis team to numerous national and regional victories. With over 30 years of leadership experience at Batelco and a master's degree in Business and Marketing, Kamal combines strategic vision with a hands-on approach to player development.
In his new role, Kamal will oversee programmes for kids, juniors, and adults, focusing on talent development, training, and mentoring. Known for his keen eye in scouting and nurturing padel talent, Kamal has been instrumental in developing players who now proudly represent Bahrain's Under-18 national team. As a Certified Padel Coach and a graduate of the Bahrain Olympic Committee’s Level 1 National Coaching Programme, Kamal is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of padel stars.
