DARTS – Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) secretary general Faris Al Kooheji received yesterday Arab Darts Federation (ADF) president Dr Yahya Abdelkader at the BOC headquarters in Seef. ADF vice-president and Bahrain Billiards and Darts Federation president Munther Al Basri was also on hand, along with BOC executive director Ahmed Abdulghaffar, BOC sports project management director Lounes Madene, and Dr Abdelkader’s accompanying delegation.
Al Kooheji and Dr Abdelkader spoke about enhancing co-operation and co-ordination to ensure the development of darts in the kingdom and increasing its popularity, with the aim of creating champions capable of competing in various regional, continental, and international championships. Al Kooheji wished the ADF further progress and success.
Dr Abdelkader, who is also the president of the African Darts Federation and the Egyptian Darts Federation, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Al Kooheji for his hospitality and warm reception, and lauded the great boom that Bahraini sports are experiencing, in light of the efforts made by the BOC, headed by Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and BOC president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
