ENDURANCE – The Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef) will hold the Shaikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Cup from today to Saturday under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The event, to held at the Bahrain International Endurance Village, includes a 120km private stables race as well as qualifying and local and international endurance races .
Shaikh Khalid highlighted the progress of endurance races, supported by His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and SCYS chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, noting his dedication to advancing the sport and its international success.
Shaikh Khalid emphasised the importance of local championships in preparing riders and horses for international events and identifying young talents. He encouraged Breef to provide optimal conditions for participants and wished all competitors success.
Breef president Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa expressed pride in organising the event.
He underscored the federation’s commitment to delivering an exceptional event through comprehensive preparations and efforts by all committees to ensure another successful edition of the championship, wishing all participating private stables and riders success.
