A proposed parliamentary legislation that would have made public representatives who are not reappointed or re-elected eligible for financial support of up to BD1,000 for nine months from the Unemployment Fund has been shot down.
Parliament’s services committee, chaired by Jalila Al Sayed, has recommended the proposal’s rejection during the upcoming parliamentary session .
