His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, deputised Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to attend a reception hosted by the UAE Embassy in Bahrain, marking the country’s 53rd Union Day.
Shaikh Khalid was welcomed by UAE Ambassador Fahad Mohammed bin Kardous Alameri.
He conveyed the congratulations of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as well as Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Court Minister Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the people of the UAE.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised the deep-rooted bonds of brotherhood and shared values between Bahrain and the UAE, underscoring that these ties have been strengthened over time under the leadership of His Majesty and Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
He highlighted the historical and enduring relationship built on mutual respect and shared values.
“This year’s Union Day carries profound pride in the advanced levels of integration and solidarity achieved between the two nations, reflecting the enduring depth of their historical relations and their united approach to shared concerns,” he said.
Shaikh Khalid also praised the visit of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Shaikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during the recent Bahrain-UAE Joint Higher Committee meeting.
He noted the positive outcomes of the visit, which reaffirmed the commitment of both nations to expanding their partnership through enhanced collaboration and resource integration.
The Deputy Premier welcomed the activation of the National Content Programme, aimed at promoting industrial integration and sustainable development in both countries.
He commended the UAE’s achievements across various fields, describing the nation as a global model of development, sustainability and progress under its leadership.
Shaikh Khalid expressed his wishes for the UAE’s continued prosperity and success, as well as sustained security and stability for both nations under their leadership.
The UAE ambassador expressed gratitude to His Majesty and HRH Prince Salman for their support in strengthening bilateral relations.
He thanked Shaikh Khalid for attending the reception on behalf of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, highlighting the deep ties between the two nations, established by their forefathers and upheld by their leaderships.
The ambassador reaffirmed the shared commitment to advancing the strategic partnership between Bahrain and the UAE across all sectors, and achieving mutual benefits and enhance co-operation.
He expressed appreciation for Bahrain’s recognition of the UAE’s 53rd Union Day.
