A 25-year-old man in Hyderabad shot his girlfriend's father on Sunday after an argument over their relationship.
Balwinder Singh fired an airgun at Revanth Anand, striking him in the eye. The incident occurred after Anand, disapproving of his daughter's relationship with Balwinder, sent her to the United States to end the relationship.
Despite the warnings, Balwinder and Anand's daughter continued their relationship secretly. This led to a heated argument, during which Balwinder, in a fit of anger, fired the airgun.
Anand sustained critical injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Balwinder, who fled the scene after the incident, was later apprehended by the police. A case has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing.
