FOOTBALL – BAHRAINI media professional Hussain Al Durazi continues his duties with Fifa in implementing the information programme during the ongoing qualifiers for the Fifa World Cup 2026.
Al Durazi represents Fifa in matches hosted by Bahrain’s national team in the current qualification phase. He holds the official title of Fifa Stadium Data Collector, and his responsibilities include liaising with the match commissioner appointed by Fifa and the match organisers two days before the match to ensure all preparations are in place to collect data, according to Fifa regulations.
During each game, Al Durazi collects data directly using the provided programme, and after the contest, he enters the referees’ room to verify the accuracy of the data, ensuring it aligns with the referee’s report in the presence of the match commissioner. He then distributes the match report electronically to the relevant authorities.
Al Durazi is the first Bahraini to undergo training for the implementation of this programme in the kingdom, having attended workshops held remotely, with the participation of Fifa representatives from various countries.
