Bahrain is home to some of the oldest mangrove forests in the GCC region, according to a recently completed study based on satellite imagery for the past 37 years.A team of more than 32 researchers from around the world recently completed the GCC-focused study, whose results have been published in the peer-reviewed Remote Sensing Applications: Society and Environment journal .
