HORSERACING – BAHRAIN Royal Endurance Team rider Mayoof Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi secured second place in the FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Horses, held in Sardinia, Italy.
Al Rumaihi climbed the podium following a fine performance in the 120-kilometre event, which featured approximately 100 competitors representing 22 countries from around the world.
On the occasion, His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Royal Endurance Team captain Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa commended the team’s efforts and achievement of second place.
Shaikh Nasser highlighted that this achievement strongly motivates the team to continue their strides in maintaining Bahrain’s status in global endurance racing.
Shaikh Nasser highlighted that the team participated in the championship with promising riders with high potential, expressing confidence in their ability to secure top positions.
He noted that such participation helps the riders gain more experience and improve their performance for future competitions.
Al Rumaihi secured second place with his horse Guerwan Du Barthas.
Rashid Saeed Hamad Malhouf from the UAE came away with the fine victory, while finishing behind al Rumaihi in third place was Kenza Bettenfeld from France.
