Israeli commandos have carried out special missions in Lebanon, ahead of a possible ground invasion that might occur as soon as this week.
In an effort to drive the Hizbollah fighters away from the Israeli border, elite forces are attacking the group's infrastructure, including weapons sites and command and control centres, an Israeli officer told London’s Telegraph newspaper.
The official stated, "They are targeting key sites which have been built across the border zone."
Following the assassination of Hizbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Israel is acting swiftly to take advantage of the situation, an Israeli intelligence source told the newspaper.
