A number of people have been arrested for providing illegal taxi services, according to the Traffic Directorate.
Without giving numbers, it added in a statement yesterday that the violators were reportedly transporting passengers without permission from the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry and/or providing the services in unlicensed vehicles .
