TENNIS – Sara Dessouky of Egypt clinched the under-18 girls’ singles crown after defeating Bahrain’s Hajjar Zaidan 6-1, 6-4 in the final as the 28th BBK Junior Open Tennis Tournament came to a close at the Bahrain Tennis Club (BTC) in Juffair.
After the final, the prize-giving and closing ceremony followed, headed by BBK general manager of corporate banking Nadeem Abdul Aziz Al Kooheji.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion were BBK general manager of internal audit Raj Kumar Dugar, BBK chief of business development Simone Carminati, BBK head of corporate communication and PR Rafa Kaddoura, BTC honorary president Dr Ali Fakhro, BTC member Dr Faisal Al Mosawi as well as BTC board members and BBK officals.
Winners of various categories were honoured at the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, BTC president Khamis Al Muqla said: “We are very thankful for the unwavering support of BBK for the past 28 years. This has helped a lot of local and non-local junior players to showcase their skills in the sport of tennis.”
