Korean group HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Company has won a deal from a construction company in Saudi Arabia to supply 100 excavators, reported Yonhap.
Under the deal, the construction equipment unit of South Korea's shipbuilding-to-energy conglomerate HD Hyundai Group plans to supply 70 units of its 22-tonne excavators and 30 units of its 50-ton model to Saudi Arabia's Al Rawaf Contracting by February 2024.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The equipment will be used for a 400km underground water pipe construction project connecting Dammam in the eastern region to the Saudi capital of Riyadh, said the Yonhap report.
Following the latest deal, the company has secured 800 construction equipment orders from the Middle Eastern country this year, it added.
