Two teams from the kingdom were sponsored by the National Bank of Bahrain at the first Taekwondo Arab Clubs Championship which took place in the Egyptian capital of Cairo.
The Down Syndrome Care Centre and Sport to Door Academy for Taekwondo took part in the event, competing against teams from across the Middle East and North Africa at the Cairo International Stadium.
The competition was held according to World Taekwondo official rules and included special categories for junior and individuals with disabilities.
NBB’s sponsorship came as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives to support local communities.
