His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday expressed his pride in the achievements made throughout the kingdom’s 104-year history of municipal development, and its civic elections.
The first municipal elections in the region took place in Bahrain in 1924, he pointed out as he visited the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry where he was welcomed by the minister, Wael Al Mubarak .
