OWNERS of 152 shared accommodation for expatriate labourers in the Southern Governorate were referred to the Public Prosecution for alleged safety, security and municipal violations over the past three years, it has been revealed.
Southern Municipality director-general Isa Al Buainain stated that a total of 330 places of accommodation had been found to be in violation over the period, mostly in East Riffa, followed by Isa Town, Askar, Zallaq and parts of West Riffa .
