Al Hidd outclassed Bahrain Club 4-1 in a 20th round match of the Nasser Bin Hamad Premier League at the Shaikh Ali Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Stadium last night.
The dominant win helped Al Hidd climb to seventh place with 26 points while Bahrain Club are second from bottom with 15.
Al Hidd ended the first half leading 1-0 after a fine header by Thiago Augusto put them ahead in the final minutes before the interval. Isa Jehad scored Al Hidd’s second goal in the 62nd minute while Mohammed Jamal extended the lead after finding the back of the net five minutes later.
Bahrain Club, meanwhile, pulled on back in the 75th minute when Hamza Al Sunhaji capitalised on Al Hidd’s sloppy play.
Jamal completed the rout in the 82nd minute, steering home an Isa Jehad cross.
Meanwhile, at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium, Al Ahli and Al Shabab played out a goalless draw.
Al Ahli continue in sixth place on 29 points while Al Shabab dropped to eighth with 25.
