A rabbit that was rescued by an officer at the Yuba City Police Department last year, has been promoted to the rank of “wellness officer”.
“Officer Percy lounges at the police department during the day and is a support animal for all,” the department wrote on Facebook.
Officer Ashley Carson, who found the lost rabbit in the middle of Percy Avenue in Yuba City, California, handed the rabbit over to animal control.
After they had no success in locating its family, the police services analyst adopted the animal, naming him Percy.
