His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Royal Endurance Team captain Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa will lead the team at the Montalcino International Endurance Championship, to be held on Friday and Saturday in the Italian city.
Shaikh Nasser will compete in the 160 kilometre race, while the other team riders will take part in the 120km race for the public, the 120km race for juniors and the 100km race.
Shaikh Nasser said that the Royal Endurance Team’s participation in European events consolidates the status of Bahraini endurance sport which enjoys the interest of His Majesty and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Shaikh Nasser indicated that the Montalcino championship will provide opportunity for the Royal Endurance Team to showcase its distinguished performance and attain more achievements at international events, following its success in claiming the 160km and 120km titles at the Royal Windsor Horse Show 2022.
Shaikh Nasser wished the team’s riders success in the Montalcino championship in which riders from Italy, Argentina and Spain will also participate.
