Oman recorded seven cases of dengue fever in the Wilayat of Bausher, Muscat Governorate, an official from Oman’s Ministry of Health said.
"This is not the first time that dengue fever cases have recorded in the Sultanate of Oman, as cases have been recorded in 2020 and 2019 in the Governorates of Muscat and Dhofar," Dr Mohammed bin Saif Al Hosani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs, said in an interview with Oman TV.
Dengue fever is transmitted by the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
