Bahrain’s major human rights strides have been praised by the Arab Human Rights Committee (Charter Committee), which oversees the implementation of the Arab Charter on Human Rights, during the closing session of the panel’s review of Bahrain’s second periodic report in Cairo.Addressing the session, Foreign Ministry Ambassador director-general of legal affairs and human rights Dr Yousef Bucheeri, who headed the Bahraini delegation, affirmed that throughout its history, the kingdom has been a leader in preserving and protecting human rights, as well as in backing all endeavours and initiatives aimed at promoting those rights .
