The Bahrain national cricket team departed yesterday for the ACC T20 Premier Cup in Oman.
Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF) president Sami M Ali and advisory board chairman Mohammed Mansoor were present at the airport to see the team off and express their support.
“The Bahrain national cricket team embodies the unwavering commitment to excellence that the Bahrain Cricket Federation champions. Their participation in the ACC T20 Premier Cup is a testament to the strides our nation has made in the cricketing world. We are excited to witness their performance and cheer them on to victory,” said Ali.
Mansoor said, “We are incredibly proud of the dedication and fighting spirit displayed by the team. We are confident they will showcase their exceptional talent and bring glory to Bahrain on the international stage.”
Ten ICC associate nations, in two groups of five teams each, will battle it out for the title with the winner qualifying directly for the next ACC Men’s Asia Cup.
The tournament will take place in Muscat from Friday to April 21.
