Endurance – BAHRAIN Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef) organised the Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Championship at the Bahrain International Endurance Village featuring wide participation for the international and local races as well as a contest for private stables.
The event was held in the presence and under the supervision of His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian works and youth affairs and Breef honorary president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Shaikha Najla bint Salman Al Khalifa from Al Safinat Stable won the private stables race over 120km after clocking 4 hours, 31 minutes, and 54 seconds. The second place was secured by Ahmed Khalid Al Thawadi of RM Stable in 4:39:9, while the third place went to Hamad Ismail Al Balushi, of Al Ajyal Stable, who completed the race in 4:42:18.
Meanwhile, the international race was dominated by the team of Al Za’eem, with Shaikha Sheia Al Shaden bint Salman Al Khalifa taking the lead alongside her teammates Mayoof Al Rumaihi and Jaber Badr.
Breef president Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa honoured the winners.
Shaikh Nasser emphasised that the outstanding levels witnessed in the championship reflect the status of Bahraini endurance and its stages of development, reaching the highest levels, especially as the championships organised by Breef serve as a gateway to excel in competitions abroad.
He also pointed out that the federation is reaping the rewards of its ambitious plan to create an ideal atmosphere for the riders, especially the youth who are steadily advancing towards continued excellence and prosperity.
He also commended the remarkable contributions of all participants in the championship.
